Can Kelp Help? Webinar on Macroalgae Cultivation

Macroalgae (kelp and other types of seaweed) provide many ecosystem services and have been identified as a potential carbon dioxide removal strategy through large-scale cultivation, though many scientific questions remain. This webinar will examine different fates and timescales of macroalgae carbon storage, the effectiveness at a local or global scale, ecological and cost considerations, and methods for measuring impacts.
