2023 Alaska Food and Farm Festival – Better Together: Celebrating our Abundance and Diversity

AFPC’S Goals are to (1) increase awareness of Alaska food issues among the general population; (2) provide training, resources, and networking opportunities to increase involvement in local food issues by community members and decision-makers; and 3) increase connections and build community between the public, Alaska food businesses, NGOs, governmental entities, Tribal entities, and others to support local economic development and innovative solutions.

African Aquaculture

The 2nd Annual International Conference & Exposition of the African Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (AFRAQ2023). Zambia, being one of the fastest growing aquaculture producer countries in Africa will host the largest aquaculture conference and trade show in Africa. Thousands of delegates from around the world are expected to converge in the bustling and glittering capital city, Lusaka to celebrate achievements on all aspects of aquaculture development in Africa, but also to find solutions to some of the challenges hampering the growth of the sector, and to explore new opportunities. The Alaska Marine Science Symposium (AMSS), Alaska’s premier marine research conference, has been bringing together scientists, educators, resource managers, students, and interested public for thirty years to discuss the latest marine research being conducted in Alaskan waters. Over 700 people attend this 4-day long conference held annually during the month of January.

Aquaculture America 2024

AA 2024 returns to one of the favorite tourist spots in the world, San Antonio, Texas, for the only major national aquaculture conference and exposition held in the U.S. The U.S. Aquaculture Society (formerly U.S. Chapter of WAS) joins with National Aquaculture Association and the Aquaculture Suppliers Association to produce the annual Aquaculture America meetings. Aquaculture America 2024 will have the largest aquaculture trade show in the Western Hemisphere and one of the largest anywhere in the world with nearly 200 booths!

Asian-Pacific Aquaculture 2024

After the successful meeting WA2005 in Bali 2005, and APA16 in Surabaya (2016), we decided to come back to Indonesia again in 2024. Asian Pacific Aquaculture 2024 will be the next chance for the international aquaculture community to visit Indonesia and see the rapidly expanding aquaculture industry in Indonesia – nearly 20% increase in the last 5 years in hectares in aquaculture production and over 50% per year increase in tons produced every year for the last 10 years!

AQUA 2024

We are happy to announce that AQUA 2024 will take place from August 26-30 in Copenhagen. It will comprise a scientific conference, trade exhibition, industry forums, workshops, student events and receptions. The event will highlight the latest aquaculture research and innovation to underpin continued growth of this exciting food production sector.

Latin American & Caribbean Aquaculture 2024

Aquaculture in Colombia has been growing at a rate of close to 10% per year, this is how it has reached production of about 204,000 tons in the year 2022. Today Colombia has about 36,000 producers distributed throughout the national territory. The largest species production are both red and Nilotic Tilapia, cachama, rainbow trout and native species. Latin American & Caribbean Aquaculture 2024 will be held in Medellín, Colombia this September.
