University of Alaska Southeast Alaska Aquaculture Semester

A field-based semester intensive is being offered in the Fall by the University of Alaska Southeast – Sitka Campus Applied Fisheries program.  This program provides hands-on, practical, and occupational training.

Students learn skills such as skiff operation and maintenance, mariculture farm design, hatchery work, cold water safety, fish pathology, and more.  These skills are enhanced through completing an internship with industry partners in the field. This course is offered in Sitka for the fall semester.
