Pacific Rim Shellfish Sanitation Association Conference

The 2025 Pacific Rim Shellfish Sanitation Association Conference will be held in person on April 8-9, 2025, at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, Alaska. Pac Rim is a place for the west coast shellfish regulatory and industry bodies to come together and learn from one another. We will learn about the previous year, look forward to the future, and socialize in between. Anyone interested in Shellfish Human Health is welcome to attend.

April 8 & 9 will both be full days for the 2025 Pac Rim Conference to allow time for presentations, panels, and Q&A sessions on:

  • State, Canada, Laboratory, FDA, PCSGA updates
  • ISSC updates, discussions, and proposals
  • Grower perspectives and updates
  • Topic that will be presented:
  • Wet storage practices
  • Diarrhetic Shellfish Poisoning (DSP)
    PFAS in Clams
  • Rapid test kit for PSP
  • MSC Testing
  • Vibrio
  • Lunch will be provided on the first full day of the conference on Tuesday, April 8
  • Reception with appetizers on the night of Tuesday, April 8
  • If there are topics you would like considered, would like to be a speaker on a topic, or want to nominate a speaker on a topic of interest, please let us know!
